NOTE: When originally released in the UK in 1973 it did not include "The High Reel". The album was the same as the Irish issue of 1972, with the exception that the pictures on the first and last page of the booklet were different, and it had a credit to RCA as the distributers, on the sleeve. "The High Reel" was added to the DJM re-issue in June 1978. The track was added to the album for the Atco issue and it is believed that *all* issues of the album except the original Irish pressing include it.

When the Band split they did not own the rights to their music and the subsequent compilation albums were released by different labels

Oats OASM 0021 1982, LP The Best Of Horslips

HOMESPUN 1989 CD Straight From The Horse's Mouth: The Horslips Story

???? 1996 CD Horslips Collection

K-TEL 1997 CD Celtic Collections

Two LP's were evidently released in Ireland in 1983, but I unfortunately cannot confirm their existence. They were :

Horslips History Vol 1: 1972 - 1975 (Label Unknown) Cat No: DATLP 001

Horslips History Vol 2: 1976 - 1980 (Label Unknown) Cat No: DATLP 002

Other UK LP's releases I know of:

1984 - Folk Collection - Label - Stoic, Cat No - STILP 1001

1997 - Celtic Rock Volume 1 - Label - Outlet

1997 - Celtic Rock Volume 2- Label - Outlet

The last two were definitely released, but I have no specific information on catalogue numbers. Vol 1 contained acoustic numbers, whilst Vol 2 contained more rock orientated numbers.
